So the latest rumor is that Warner Bros. is going to make Deathly Hallows into two films, ostensibly to include all the last-minute information that JK Rowling threw in, but most likely because they realize that the cash cow is coming to an end and want to squeeze every last penny out before it's done.
Frankly, of all the books that *should* have been made into two-parters (Goblet of Fire, anyone?), Deathly Hallows isn't one of them. All they have to do is cut out about 10 chapters of the trio wandering aimlessly through the forest, and the movie will actually have better pacing than the book.
Bad call WB. Too little, too late.

Date: 2008-01-13 04:51 pm (UTC)so another rumor added to the long list of rumors.
After having seen what is done with book 4 and 5 and taken for granted that parts are omitted I prefer it that thaty keep the same matrix for the movies. Seeing OotP a second time from DVD it surpriced me how coherent and logic the story displaced was, while at the fisrts vue in the theater I was only registrating missing scenes. So what they cut or compress in DH to get it into a one movie story will not be a problem too as long the movie has its own legs to stand on.
Btw... cutting the wander scenes won't comprees the story much. not when you don't want to omit a lot of events,
