Of all the Equus images with Dan Rad that I've seen, this is the only one that creeps me out. Something about the way the guy in the horse suit is looking at him feels wrong somehow. Dan looks very child-like, and the costume looks more like some kind of bizarre seual fetish than a horse.

I don't really like the recent equus images as well. I suppose I just started to dislike Dan Rad a bit. Dunno why. I used to be crazy about him. I suppose Twilight and Rob Pat took over :P

Just some random actor. He's supposed to be just a *horse*, which is why the way he's tenderly gazing at DR gives me the heevey-jeeveys.

Rrr, that's gorgeous. I quite like the new images coming out for the Broadway production of this. I'm not too sure how many are by Annie Leibovitz apart from that Vogue spread, but they are damn pertfull (and I hate Radcliffe too...).

sort of surprices me that this photo should disturb you more than the pictures of Dan rubbing up to a real horse.

Maybe this one shows more directly the dilemma the protagonist of the play: Dysart the psychiator, has with with his case.
Because in order to cure a disturbed young boy from his obsession, he has to destroy a very pure and childlike emotion.

It's not the boy's attraction to the horse that freaks me out, but rather the implication in this photo that the horse shares the sexual attraction, and possibly holds the upper hand. Anthropomorphizing bugs me. :c/

for the boy Alan Strang the horse has a sexual attraction
as well as a religious one, that makes it all so alien, because in our mainly christian western perception, sex and religion don't mix.

That hasn't always been so, and I think that the main interest of the shrink Dysart isn't Ancient Greek Culture for nothing.
