Of all the Equus images with Dan Rad that I've seen, this is the only one that creeps me out. Something about the way the guy in the horse suit is looking at him feels wrong somehow. Dan looks very child-like, and the costume looks more like some kind of bizarre seual fetish than a horse.

Maybe this one shows more directly the dilemma the protagonist of the play: Dysart the psychiator, has with with his case.
Because in order to cure a disturbed young boy from his obsession, he has to destroy a very pure and childlike emotion.

as well as a religious one, that makes it all so alien, because in our mainly christian western perception, sex and religion don't mix.
That hasn't always been so, and I think that the main interest of the shrink Dysart isn't Ancient Greek Culture for nothing.
