You Are 80% Lady

Overall, you are a refined lady with excellent manners.

But you also know when to relax and not get too serious about etiquette

What I find most giggle-worthy is the illustration above. Am I the only one whose immediate thought had something to do with bukkake?

Pimping

While I like to post things from the web that are interesting, I very rarely pimp anything that I've personally bought and used. So I'm going to break with tradition and tell ya'll about a couple of things I bought at Libellezomerweek.

Last year, they had a Lush booth, and while I balked at the prices, I kicked myself for the rest of the year for passing up a chance to wallow in their Honey, I Washed the Kids soap. It smelled like something you'd want to take a bite out of; honey and caramel.

I'd been fantasizing about buying this soap since last spring, so I was disappointed when I discovered that this year, there was no Lush booth.

But I found Sabon instead. And once I'd sniffed a few samples, cheerfully forked out a ridiculous amount of money for some of this:

Butter Cream. OHMIGOD. This stuff is amazing! I got both the Ginger/Orange scent, which reminds me of Creamsicles; and the Lavender/Apple, which just sort of smells clean and Spring-like. My skin is silky smooth, there's no greasy feel, and I swear my wrinkles are retreating. :c)

Then, I went and bought hand and foot cream at the Rituals booth, and again, while it was fairly costly, it was worth the price. The hand cream is nice, but since my hands aren't all that dry, I didn't really notice any outstanding results. My lizard-like feet, however, have now become like kitten's paws, only minus the fur. It smells like basil and mint, and really make a huge difference. So I'm going to recommend that anyone with croc skin on their feet give this a try.

So...

You Were Born into the Water Element

You are an open, receptive person who values communication. You believe in staying flexible.

You are thoughtful and philosophical. You are still trying to figure out the meaning of your life.

You have to watch out for your own judgments. You often change your mind, and you should avoid clinging to dogma.

You are calm and passive. You don't rush to make things happen in your life. You accept things as they are.

The Jesusita Fire in Santa Barbara, CA last week caused these two to take shelter together.

The fawn is 3 days old and the bobcat about 3 weeks. The fawn came from somewhere in the fire and the bobcat from Carpentaria. They immediately bonded and snuggled together under a desk in the Santa Barbara County Dispatch Office for several hours.

Hmmm....

Your result for The Social Persona Test (What kind of man/woman are you?)...

The Renaissance Faire Wench (QLAF)

Quirky Liberal Alpha Female

The hardest part about being the Renn. Faire Wench is that people often mistake you for a beta female. This is not so. You might be quite flirtatious, but you are hardly relient on men. You like to do things the mainstream would consider weird, (like dress in costume, perhaps?). Eat, drink, and be merry, but make sure whoever you date respects you and does not take advantage of your laid-back attitude. (BTW, you are likely the only type who can see That Creepy Guy (NLBM) for who he is, helping him to bring out the Manga Geek (QLBM) inside. This does not mean you have to date one, however. You are quite flexible and can enjoy the company of many of the types.)

You are more QUIRKY than NORMAL.

You are more LIBERAL than TRADITIONAL.

You are more DOMINANT than PASSIVE.

When picking a date, consider: The Lord of the Misfits (QLAM), The Fratt Boy (NLAM), The Snowball's Chance in Hell (QTBM), The Manga Geek (QLBM), or That Creepy Guy (NLBM).

Spent the day at Libelle Zomerweek, which as some of my long-time sufferers readers may recall, I attended for the first time last year. I bought lots of smelly stuff: body butters, scent sticks, hand creams, oils, etc. Also a book which I had signed by the author (Weike Biesheuvel for those three or four friends who might have heard of her), and lots of free tester thingys. It was even more crowded this year than last, so after the opening half hour or so, it was almost impossible to move. It's also warm and sticky outside, so I'm pretty much beat. I need to go do something about dinner, but meh.....

For my mother, my grandmother, my great-grandmother, and my great-great-grandmother.

And perhaps, someday, for my daughter, too. But not until she's at least 25! ;c)

Oh, now this is a surprise :

You Are a Dreamer

You are primarily concerned with possibilities. You tend to be a fanciful person.

All of the world's opportunities sometimes overwhelm you.

You are obsessed with ideas and tend to be a big thinker. Theories interest you greatly.

You crave intellectual stimulation. You are drawn to a philosophical way of life.

At least he has a sense of humor about it all. :c)

MYST for the iPhone!

Cyan's groundbreaking first-person graphic adventure Myst hit the Apple Store today. The $5.99 game weighs in at a whopping 727 MB and includes all the Ages, music, videos and animations from the original. Each scene was painstakingly re-rendered, as well (the 1993 version was compressed to 256 colors). Check out the preview video...
