This awesome t-shirt:

Is once again available from Threadless.com. I plan to wear mine to the HBP movie when it comes out next summer. ;c)

[livejournal.com profile] amber_dragon_64 has posted some screencaps of Alan Rickman as Severus Snape from the brand-new HBP trailer here. The last two shots in particular just kill me - I just know it's the AK shot.

Alec Hopkins makes another appearance in Half Blood Prince! Check out this video from You Tube's Dinner With Greedo:

He plays a moving picture, so it's not a BIG part, but it hopefully means he has a good chance at being cast in the Deathly Hallows film(s).

Wheeeeee!

Because a couple of people asked, here's the hi-res version of the Unbreakable Vow photo. I'm wondering if they're going to do something about Cissy's hair in cgi or something, since it's not supposed to look like Cruella De Ville, dammit!

Click through to get the big version.

Snurched the photo from HPANA.

All you non-HP fans can just skip this bit:

A teenage actor who had a small role in the next Harry Potter film has died after being stabbed.

Eighteen-year-old Robert Knox played Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby in The Half-Blood Prince.

He died after an incident outside a bar in the early hours of Saturday morning, in Sidcup in south-east England.

Robert died after he was taken to hospital. Police have confirmed that a 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Warner Bros, the company behind the Potter films, said: "We are all shocked and saddened by this news and at this time our sympathies are with his family."

This is Tom Moorcroft, who has supposedly been cast to play Regulus Black in Harry Potter adn the Half Blood Prince. Except for the fact that as far as I can remember, that character is only mentioned in the book so it seems weird that it would be cast, I think he makes an okay-looking Reg.

Is it wrong that I can totally picture this kid and Young!Snape as a couple? :cP

BTW, not online much as my laptop died and I'm forced to use my clunker computer upstairs where it's both really cold and really lonely. Not feeling blue, just inconvenienced. :c)

It's the double, but it's just such an incongruous image I had to post it. :c)

And another AR photo.

Oops! ETA: snagged from [livejournal.com profile] hbpmoviepics

There are more Alan Rickman as Snape photos being posted as I write this, as well as more photos of Dan Radcliffe. Check out [livejournal.com profile] hbpmoviepics for more. I highly recommend it (and this way I won't have to spam my entire flist with Snapey goodness).

"FILMING has started on the sixth Harry Potter movie at Gloucester Cathedral.

Cast and crew are on site at the historic building this morning, which doubles as the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Stars already spotted arriving include Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter, and Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley.

They arrived on set at around 10am, accompanied by Alan Rickman, who plays Professor Snape, Dame Maggie Smith, who plays Professor McGonagall, and Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy.

Also spotted were a number of doubles - lookalikes including Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy.
Reporter Kate Nicholls managed to get a quick look behind the scenes - and saw crew busy making magical potions ready for the filming of the sixth book in the series - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

She said: "I saw them pouring vividly-coloured soup into bowls, with different food colourings ready to be added. It looked as though they could only be getting potions ready."

There are 174 local children on site, who will be appearing as extras in the filming, and more than 200 crew members at the Cathedral.

A blue-screen has been erected in the Cathedral's cloisters to help with the computer generated effects which will be added later.

Two sets of crutches were also spotted arriving at the set - leading to speculation the scenes after Ron falls from his broom in a game of quidditch could be being filmed.

It is believed filing will go on until 7pm tonight, and will be finished at the Cathedral by the end of tomorrow. "

The poster for HBP that I posted a couple of days ago? Fake, according to official sources.

Damn. Sorry, flist.

I'm so not seeing Helen McCrory as Narcissa Malfoy. No offense to her as an actress or anything, but physically she's NOTHING like the picture in my head. :c/
raxacorricofallapatorius: (turn)
This obviously isn't the real thing, but a pretty awesome fan-made trailer.

I'm really excited to see how the actual film turns out. Too bad we'll have to wait until, what, 2009 to find out?

Bill Nighy as Rufus Scrimgeour? Keep your fingers crossed!
