What a looooong and exciting day! ;c)
First of all, I FINALLY saw OotP, and I LOVED it. Really. Plot holes, cut scenes, differences from the book, and all. I truly think this is my favorite HP so far. I'll do a separate post tomorrow going into more detail about what I liked, but overall, definitely a thumbs up.
Oh, and just for the record? Alec Hopkins=perfect Young Snape. There's more than just the tree scene, and he managed to get across SO much information about this boy with just body language alone (well, okay, and makeup). Impressive, truly. He done good. :c)
BTW, if you go to
alec_hopkins,
ook has posted a couple of sneaky shots of those scenes for your viewing pleasure.
Annnnnd....
We got a new doggy! He's a 1.5 year-old Labrador, and his name is (at the moment, anyway) Spikey. He's an odd mix of black and chocolate, so depending on how the light shines, he can look like either one. The previous owners had two other big dogs in this *tiny* little house, and since he was the youngest, he was at the bottom of the pecking order and was constantly being harassed by the other two. He's also incredibly playful, and the owner just couldn't handle a high-energy dog that needs to be walked and played with on a several-times-daily basis.
I've missed my Zorrodog so much these last months, and I'm thrilled to have a new fuzzbeast to cuddle and run around with. The kids are also nuts about him, so I'm quite sure he'll have LOTS of playtime. :c)
I took some pictures which I will post tomorrow. It's already after 10:00 p,m. here, and I'm exhausted.
