Tales of Beedle the Bard
Dec. 14th, 2007 07:13 pmAmazon.com was the winning bidder of JKR's handwritten addendum to the Harry Potter series, "The Tales of Beedle the Bard." They have posted a review of the first story, including an overview that tells most of the tale, on their site. Lots of pictures of the book also!
My personal feeling is that once all the stories have been "reviewed" and public appetite has been whipped to a frenzy, a regular paperback version of this will be released for purchase. In the meantime, her charity gets a boatload of money, amazon gets tons of hits and publicity, and everybody benefits.
I have to admit, it's a hell of a stunt. Pure genius. /cynicism
