That was quick...
May. 31st, 2007 02:44 pmWell, apparently the kerfluffle over "DeleteGate" has been brought to a satisfactory conclusion. Those people who were merely discussing Nabokov, or working on their abuse issues, will be re-instated, and LJ has effectively apologized and admitted that they were over-zealous and not careful enough with their research.
What really impresses me, though, is how many people got together on this and actually *did* something about it instead of just moaning and complaining. Or walking away. The last time I checked,
fandom_counts had over 25,000 members. TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND!!!! In the space of only a few hours, that many people joined up to let themselves be counted and let their feelings be known.
That, my friends, it awesomesauce.
