Filmage

So, since I was stuck on the couch for the remainder of the day yesterday, I watched a couple of really good family films. I normally avoid them like the plague, because if there's one thing I hate, it's almost always a film labeled "heartwarming," which really means twee and predictable, a la Little House on the Prairie.

But I liked The Water Horse and An Angel for May quite a lot. Both of them struck a nice balance between the fantastical and the believable. And An Angel for May has Anna Massey in it, which is always a bonus fo rme. ;c)

Hubby and I also watched about 10 minutes of Meet the Spartans(a spoof of 300) which was so ham-handed and charmless that we abandoned it to watch Juno, which is every bit as delightful and smart and amusing as all the awards say it is. Good call.

My ankle is doing better today. Thanks to all those who commented yesterday. :c) I'm going to continue to take it easy for a couple more days and see, but I think it's going to be just fine. The dog is going back to basics with training, to see if it will "stick" this time. He's a sweet dog, just stubborn. Stupid fuzzbutt mudbeast.

I'm down another .3 kg (go figure), and I'm going to do a little yoga and stretching stuff this morning, but no jumping about obviously. I was really annoyed at not being able to do my step aerobics yesterday. Does that make me an addict? ;c)

Alright, I've had my coffee, and it's time for breakfast and chores. Have a great day, flist!
